Leadership in Early Hearing Detection and Intervention

This leadership program, based at CIDD, is one of three in the US funded by MCHB for “Pediatric Communication Disorders.” The initial focus was on newborn hearing screening and management; however, a supplemental award in 2009 to add an autism component. MCH Fellows, in addition to their clinical training, participate in a series of leadership workshops provided through UNC’s Maternal and Child Health Leadership Consortium. Funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources, Health Resources and Services Administration, Training Program for Pediatric Communication Disorders (T-83), CFDA 93.110.
