Work Together NC is a Community Collaborative of self-advocates, family members, employers, educators, and service providers involved in systems change
to increase employment opportunities for people with IDD. The WTNC team will provide an overview of the project. After their short presentation there
will be a listening session where attendees will be invited to talk about their ideas for improving the transition process.

Suicide Prevention for People on the Autism Spectrum

Autistic individuals are at heightened risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Dr. Maddox will share information about risk
factors, warning signs, and crisis supports for this population, highlighting the importance of engaging stakeholders with lived experience.

The presenters are co-principal investigators of a physical activity program for adults with IDD. Their work aims to promote health and wellbeing for
these individuals and others. They will describe benefits of physical activity and inclusive community participation and provide information including
strategies for supporting physical activity for adults with intellectual disability.
